A Combination Filter is a combination of two filters placed in a single housing. The Filter which interacts first with dirty air has a coarse micron size and the secondary filter has a finer micron size.
A combination filter helps to increase the life of the filter where you only have to replace the coarse filter frequently & the secondary filter can have much more life.
