A pulse valve also known as a solenoid valve or a pulsejet valve is used for cleaning the particulate matter deposited on the filter bag in a pulsejet dust collector. A pulsejet valve is a diaphragm based valve which is has an inbuilt plunger controlled by an electromagnet (solenoid). These valves release a sudden blast of air inside the filter bag for a very short duration of time, this sudden pulse inflates the filter bag and as soon as the flow of air stops the pressure from the blower forces the bag to cling to the cage and retain back its shape. This sudden change in position along with the pressure of air on the fabric causes the dust to fall from the surface of the bag to the hopper.
