What is a shot-blasting machine?
Shot blasting machines use a mechanical method of propelling blast media using blast wheels to remove layers of scale and contaminants from the surface of metal and steel products. It is used to clean, strengthen (also known as shot peening) metal surfaces, or polish them. The shot blasting machine uses a blast medium on the metal parts in the sealed chamber to remove surface rust, weld slag, and scale removal, making it uniform and glossy, and improving the coating quality of the rust inhibitor.

How shot blasting machine works
As part of this blasting technique, a controlled flow of abrasive is projected onto the surface of the metal or steel to be blasted. At the center of the machine is the blast wheel. As the disc begins to rotate, a metal abrasive or blast medium is carried towards its center. From this position, the abrasive is accelerated and thrown towards the surface to be treated.
