Steel Plant Filter Bag

As we Know Steel is used in various sectors like building and infrastructure, mechanical equipment, metal products, automotive, electrical equipment, domestic appliances, etc.

Steel is an alloy created by Mixing Iron with other elements. Iron is one of the most common element, used in every construction process.

To make steel Mostly Pig Iron is used, which is produced by using the blast furnace process in which 92-94% iron and 3-5% carbon with smaller amounts of other elements. Other elements such as manganese and nickel were added to reduce the carbon content to give the steel specific properties.

The Pig Iron is formed by the use of raw materials like iron ore, coke, sinter, and limestone. These materials are goes to the blast furnace, where very hot air is blown, or blasted. The oxygen in the hot air reacts with the materials to form carbon monoxide then the carbon monoxide reacts with the iron ore to form carbon dioxide or we can say pure iron.

During this process, Baghouse aka dust collectors are used along side the blast furnace to collect the dust particulates from the gases or back-blown ash through the dust collector bags which are made of synthetic fibers.

According to the world coal association 70% or 29% of steel is produced in oxygen and electric arc furnaces respectively and the other 1% is coking coal used to produce steel. when the steel is produced huge electricity is used which is generated from coal-fired power stations. The use of coal in steel production faces a number of environmental problems such as greenhouse gases and particulate emissions.

filter bags

If these dust collector bags are not used in the blast furnace then the particulate matter released from the blast furnace will affect our environment and be harmful to living beings. Amrit Filtration Equipments manufactures filter bags for dust collector in steel plants. which is used in Steel Mill, steel plant, blast furnace filter system filter bags, and sintering machine filter

Filter bags made by Amrit Filtration Equipments are designed to remove of separate particulate matter from air as low as 10 mg / nm3 which is compatible to the prescribed level given by the government agencies.
