Filter Bags Used in Cement Plant/Rotary Kiln

In 2021 the estimated production of cement worldwide is approximately 4.4 billion tons. It is used for all types of construction including but not limited to housing, roads, schools, hospitals, dams, and ports. The interesting thing is that the expected cement production is expected to increase by 10-12% within the financial year 2022.

India is the second largest producer of cement in the world. As per records, there are more than 210 large cement plants and 350 small cement plants also many more micro cement plants are unaccounted for. 

Different materials are used to make cement, which begins with mining and then grinding raw materials like limestone, clay, sand, bauxite etc. These materials are heated at 1450 degree Celsius temperature in a cement kiln to produce clinker. After this the clinker extracted from the kiln is cooled down to a lower temperature. Further gypsum is mixed as an additive in clinker and grinded in required size to make cement.

In this whole process the kiln phase is the principal stage of cement production process. During the production process of making cement by heating raw materials, greenhouse gases are released which is harmful for our environment. To protect the environment cement industry uses cement filter dust collector device to remove particulate matter from the stack gases to clean air being released in the environment.
