How Does Aluminum Is Occur

Although there are various mineral sources over the world from which aluminum can be obtained, bauxite is the most popular one. It contains more than 50% aluminum oxide.

There are three phases in the manufacture of aluminum first: Mining the bauxites containing aluminum, the second: Converting bauxites into alumina or aluminum oxide, and the third: producing aluminum using electrolyte reduction. In this process, more than 4-5 tonnes of bauxite contain only 1 tonne of aluminum.

What Are The Problems Faced By Workers During The Manufacturing Of Aluminum?

During the process of aluminum manufacturing, there is aluminum dust element is harmful when inhaled or when pure aluminum comes into contact with skin. The most common disease affects the respiratory system and also produces signs of cholestasis or a liver disorder.
For this reason, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued regulations to protect workers who handle aluminum and breathe its dust.
